Anti-galling/soft metal applications. Many of Spiralock's toughest applications are in aluminum or other soft metals. Not only is resistance to loosening an advantage, but due to the smaller contact pattern, galling between the mating parts during assembly is significantly reduced.
Reusable. On products where there is frequent need to loosen a fastener-either for adjustments or servicing, nuts threaded with Spiralock permit these procedures to be performed repeatedly, without loss of fastener integrity. Spiralock has no distortion or interference to wear out during the tightening process.
